Melania Trump has become the talk of the town after a video from a White House ceremony to sign an executive order aimed at improving women’s health research, which Donald and her wife attended together, went viral.
The moment took place on Monday, when Donald and Melania both signed the order, which created the White House Women’s Health Task Force and the Women’s Health Division at the NIH.
However, attention soon shifted from the announcement to the couple’s interaction. After Melania signed the order with her husband, Donald leaned in to kiss her. Melania turned her face away, seemingly avoiding the kiss, while Donald tapped his hand on hers.
The brief exchange quickly sparked reactions online, with one claiming Melania is “disgusted” by her husband.
“She clearly didn’t want to kiss him,” a second commented.
A third joked about how far Melania turned her head, writing, “She nearly did an exorcist rotation.”

The moment has added to ongoing public speculation about the couple’s relationship. However, the brief interaction alone does not establish how either of them feels about their marriage.
Many comments focused on Melania’s actions. Another stated, “Look at the body language. Melania immediately shifts her entire body the opposite way after Trump makes his move.”
“The good girl tap on the hand is so telling,” one cryptically wrote, while another claimed, “We all know she hates him. It’s just really weird that MAGA has all agreed to pretend she doesn’t.”
Another jokingly wrote, “It’s like watching a prisoner interact with a captor who is abusing her.”
Donald Trump and Melania Trump’s marriage, and how it really is, has been talked about for years. Earlier this year, Trump author Michael Wolff claimed that their relationship had hit its lowest point.
“Everybody in the White House is afraid of Melania Trump and her power – that is, if she chooses to use it. They largely think she won’t, or at least won’t use it so obviously enough to directly threaten the palace, but they can’t be sure,” Wolf wrote on his Substack Howl.

“At the same time, they think that the relationship between the president and his wife is probably at its lowest point since the Stormy Daniels trial — and that was very low,” he added, further claiming that Donald and Melania “barely speak” anymore.
So what did the new order mean? The White House has announced that Trump’s chief of staff Susie Wiles, who recently completed breast cancer treatment, will lead the task force alongside Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Meanwhile, the order has set no specific funding targets.
The initiative follows a series of meetings between Melania Trump and federal health officials.
“It was abundantly clear that women’s healthcare needs to be modernized, the research gap closed, and further, the need to accelerate the discovery of treatments and cures was glaring,” Melania Trump said in a statement.
According to the White House, the initiative will focus on maternal health, mental health, and endometriosis. It will also address other health concerns, including Alzheimer’s disease, osteoporosis, heart disease, and stroke.
